On June 12, I published this amazing anthology by Penned in the City contributors. The book contains fiction, poetry, and art, and all the proceeds are going toward Doctors Without Borders.
You can read a sample of Unity, Volume 2: A Speculative Anthology here: https://amzn.to/4jSCTUa. However, there was some controversy with the anthology that I want to hear from you about.
Some of you know it has always been a dream of mine to include an Audible book. I haven’t had the time or know-how to produce one, but Amazon recently added a feature where you can create one using a Kindle book. The process is simple and fast.
So guess what I did? I created one. That is the only part of the book’s production where I used A.I. I am not a fan of A.I. I hire a cover designer and craft the interior of all the press’ books; I have a phenomenal copyeditor Elane Marie Carnegie-Padgett. But, this time, this time, I used A.I.
And I have to say. the Audio book sounds amazing! The pacing and voice of the narration are good, and I fufilled a dream I’ve had for years.
Still, a friend of mine cautioned me that I may get 1-star reviews because the Audio is computer-generated, but hey, I’ll take those reviews.
What are your thoughts on the matter? Should I not use the feature to create Audio books?
